The Chicago Bulls didn't have reigning MVP Derrick Rose against the Orlando Magic tonight, but they didn't need him. Coach Tom Thibodeau's crew set the franchise record for the fewest points allowed by an opponent during a, 85-59 win at the Amway Center.

Power forward Carlos Boozer led the Chicago attack, finishing with 24 points, 13 rebounds and four steals on 12-of-18 shooting. Reserve point guard John Lucas III stepped up his game again without Rose, scoring 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting that included four makes from three-point range. Luol Deng had 14 points for Chicago on 5-of-13 shooting from the field in the win.

Center Dwight Howard led the Magic with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Anderson had 10 points for the Magic in the loss.

Orlando finished just 24-for-68 from the field (35.3 percent) and shot 4-of-20 from three point range.

The win improves Chicago to 38-10 and makes coach Tom Thibodeau the quickest head coach ever to 100 victories.

The Chicago Bulls are playing without star guard Derrick Rose tonight, but no worries, guys. Carlos Boozer has this taken care of. Chicago's much-maligned power forward has 24 points as the Bulls will take a 60-48 lead into the fourth quarter tonight at the Amway Center.

Boozer is 12-of-17 from the field, and also has 10 rebounds already. Guard John Lucas III didn't score in the third quarter, but is still Chicago's second leading scorer with 11 points. Luol Deng has 10 points for the Bulls.

Dwight Howard has 16 points and 11 rebounds for Chicago on 7-of-10 shooting. Ryan Anderson (10 points) is the only other Orlando player in double-figures in scoring.

Chicago has 14 assists to the Magic's five assists.

Despite playing without star guard Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls will head to the second half with a 15-point lead over the Orlando Magic on the road. Without Rose, reserve point guard John Lucas III has again picked up the scoring slack. Lucas, who propelled the Bulls past the Miami Heat last Wednesday, has 11 points at the half, which includes a streak of three-straight three pointers

You wouldn't expect the Chicago Bulls to easily handle the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center without star guard Derrick Rose, but through a half, that's exactly what's happening. The Bulls will take a 48-33 lead into the third quarter on Monday night behind strong efforts from power forward Carlos Boozer and reserve point guard John Lucas III.

Boozer leads Chicago with 16 points and five rebounds on 8-of-10 shooting at halftime. Lucas has 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting including three makes from three-point range. Luol Deng has eight points at the half.

Orlando lost to the Miami Heat last night, and are playing decidedly uninspired basketball thus far. Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson each have eight points at the half. Small forward Hedo Turkoglu has five points for Orlando at the break.

The first quarter saw a rather sluggish start from both the Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic, as both teams struggled to score at the offensive end. But the Chicago Bulls exited the period with a 22-14 lead after heating up a bit in the late stages and putting together a 9-0 run.

Orlando is shooting just 33.3% from the field so far and the Magic have turned the ball over six times already. Dwight Howard has six points and two rebounds, but he also picked up two fouls in the quarter.

John Lucas has nine for the Bulls, who are shooting 52.9%.

It won't be easy for the Bulls to pick up a win in Orlando on Monday night, especially if point guard Derrick Rose is out again, but if they do pull off a victory, they'll help their coach make NBA history. Tom Thibodeau can become the fastest coach to reach 100 career wins in league history.

The Chicago Bulls face the Orlando Magic tonight at the Amway Center.

The Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic met on March 8 at the United Center, with the Magic handing Chicago its third home loss of the season. Tonight, the Bulls get another crack at Orlando and its star center Dwight Howard, only this time they'll travel to the Amway Center.

The Magic will be on the end of a back-to-back after losing in Miami to the Heat 91-81 on Sunday night. Orlando had won four of five heading into that game. The Magic's stellar recent play has put them third in the East at 29-17 overall -- Stan Van Gundy's crew currently holds a 3.5 game lead over fourth place Philadelphia.

The Bulls return to the road for the first time since March 7. Chicago is coming off a six-game home-stand, which it finished 4-2. Star point guard Derrick Rose did not play the last three games of the hand-stand due to a pulled groin, and it appears as if he will not play tonight against the Magic.

Last we saw them, the Bulls defeated the 76ers 89-80 without Rose at the United Center on Saturday night.

Game date/time: Monday, March 19, 7:00 p.m. CST

Location: Amway Center, Orlando, FL

TV: Comcast SportsNet/TNT
