After a stunning nine-game losing streak, the Chicago Blackhawks seem to have found their groove over the past two games. Following a key victory in Madison Square Garden over the New York Rangers, the Blackhawks put together a dominant performance in a 6-1 road victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Blackhawks were consistently excellent over the course of 60 minutes, as they scored two goals in each period, with six different guys finding the back of the net. Jonathan Toews was involved in three of the goals, scoring one and dishing out an assist on two others. Patrick Sharp also recorded three points in the win, as he scored a goal and handed out two assists.

In the loss, Derick Brassard scored the lone goal for the Blue Jackets, who actually took a 1-0 lead before allowing six unanswered goals by Chicago. Steve Mason struggled between the pipes in the loss, as he allowed four goals on 20 shots before being pulled for Allen York.

Hayes played 13 games with the Blackhawks earlier in the season and still leads the team in shooting percentage at 20%, having scored 4 goals on just 20 shots. Hayes averaged only about 11 minutes on ice in his first stay with the club, and he does not figure to get much more action in his second stint.

In Shaw's nearly 300 minutes on the ice, he culled a respectable 12.5 shooting percentage with 5 goals and 4 assists. However, he appeared to be somewhat of a defensive liability in the early going, putting up a -7 plus/minus and -0.1 defensive point shares.

The Blackhawks look to build their first winning streak since late January, taking on the Columbus Blue Jackets at noon CST this Saturday.
