The Chicago Bulls made the best of their two preseason games against the Indiana Pacers, winning the second one on Tuesday night, 93-85. Chicago's won both of the match-ups between the two teams, as it looks like the Bulls will once again be one of the top teams in the NBA this season.

It was a strong performance by the Bulls, who led for essentially the entire game but weren't able to really put the Pacers away. Down 15 with less than four minutes remaining, Indiana actually cut Chicago's lead to just six points with roughly 50 second left, but the Bulls held on from there.

Chicago got a strong performance from Carlos Boozer, a good sign after the forward's unfortunate postseason performance last season. The forward knocked down 11 of 17 shots on his way to 24 points while adding seven rebounds, three assists and two steals. Richard Hamilton had a solid debut for the Bulls, scoring 13 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing six assists, while fellow guard Derrick Rose added 12 points and nine assists.

Joakim Noah didn't do much on offense, but he was a major factor on defense with five blocks and he also grabbed eight rebounds. The Bulls limited the Pacers to just 37 percent shooting from the field on the night, while nearly doubling their assist total.

Good shooting from inside the three-point line and a quality defensive effort have the Chicago Bulls up 50-42 over the Indiana Pacers at halftime as the preseason concludes for both teams. Each team began its two-game preseason series against one another recently in a 95-86 Bulls victory over the Pacers, and once again Chicago leads as the teams conclude their respective preseason schedules.

It's been another solid effort from the Bulls so far on Tuesday night, as they jumped out to a 17-8 lead early and were up by as much as 14 points in the first half. They shot an impressive 55 percent from the field in the first half while holding Indiana to just 32 percent shooting, which helps to explain the lead. Both teams have struggled from three-point range, though, with Chicago going 1-for-7 from long range and Indiana going 2-for-8.

Chicago's big new addition for the season, Richard Hamilton, makes his debut tonight. He was in the starting lineup for the Bulls, and scored six points on 3-for-5 shooting while adding three assists and two rebounds in the first half. Luol Deng led the way for Chicago with 12 points, while Carlos Boozer added 10.

The Pacers struggled offensively in the first half, but forward Tyler Hansbrough had a big first half for them. In 16 minutes, he managed to post 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the way for Indiana. Star forward Danny Granger is also having an okay night for Indiana with 10 points and 2 blocks, although he's just 3-for-8 from the field.

The 2011 NBA Preseason may be lasting only two games, but newly-acquired Richard "Rip" Hamilton expects to play in 50% of it. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls' latest free agent acquisition will start on Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers.

Making his debut in United Center, the 12-year pro will don the Bulls uniform for the first time in front of the Chicago home crowd, looking to bring his 19.3 points-per-36-minutes average with him. Hamilton spent the last nine seasons with the Detroit Pistons, and had his minutes reduced in the 2010-2011 NBA Season, going from about 33.7 minutes to 27.2 minutes.

The Bulls signed Hamilton less than a week ago on December 14, expecting to make the dynamic shooter their starting guard.

The Indiana Pacers gave the Chicago Bulls all they could handle in last year's NBA playoffs, and though Friday night's preseason game was slightly less important than those battles this past April, the two nonetheless played another hard fought match up, with the Bulls coming out on top 95-86.

The Bulls were led by reigning MVP Derrick Rose, who scored 16 points in just over 28 minutes of play. That said, Rose had his struggles, turning the ball over six times (compared to four assists) and only shooting 3-9 from the field (he went 10-10 from the line). Luol Deng was right with Rose, putting up 16 points himself, to go along with 6 rebounds, although he also had an inconsistent night, turning the ball over five times.

And it was those turnovers (typical for preseason play) that kept the Pacers in the game. The Bulls outshot the Pacers from the field, three point line and free throw stripe by considerable margins, but handed the ball over six more times than Indiana.

The two teams will meet again in Indiana on Tuesday, Dec. 20, in both teams' final game of the abbreviated 2011 preseason. The Bulls open the season on Christmas Day vs. Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Indiana Pacers got off to a fast start against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night in the first preseason game for both teams. The Bulls found themselves down 33-22 after the opening quarter, but they picked up the effort at both ends of the floor and outscored the Pacers 30-14 in the second quarter, giving them a 52-47 halftime lead.

Unofficially, Derrick Rose scored seven points in the half, with all of them coming at the free throw line. Luol Deng leads the team with 12 points on 5-7 shooting, while C.J. Watson also hit double figures with 10.

Forward Tyler Hansbrough leads Indiana with 10 first-half points, while Paul George and Darren Collison each scored nine.

The Chicago Bulls (0-0) begin the 2011-2012 NBA Preseason on Friday night, squaring off against the Indiana Pacers (0-0) in Indianapolis.

The Bulls finished the 2010-2011 season with an NBA-best 62-20 record, 25.0 games ahead of the Pacers. With most of their roster returning for the 2011-2012 campaign, the Bulls feature very few new faces in their lineup. However, they do have a new guard in Richard Hamilton.

With the Bulls having the affectionately-named "Rip" Hamilton under contract for less than two full days, it appears unlikely the former long-time member of the Detroit Pistons will be playing much or at all in Friday's contest. Hamilton brings with him not only a career 17.7 points per game rate, but also a possible final piece to an already impressive Bulls team.
