The Bears defense had Tim Tebow and the rest of the Broncos offense befuddled for the majority of Sunday afternoon's game, but another strong fourth quarter performance by Tebow and lot of good fortune allowed Denver to rally and win in overtime. Not surprisingly, there was plenty of frustration in the Bears locker room after the game:

"It's frustrating because we are better than them," Bears defensive end Israel Idonije said. "We are better than that. It's just ones those you shake your head. At the end of the day it's on us. We have to find a way to get it done."

The Bears will try to put this loss behind them when they return home for a must-win game against Seattle on Dec. 18.

With just three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, it seemed like the Bears were on their way to an impressive road victory over the streaking Denver Broncos. However, two key mistakes from RB Marion Barber at the end of regulation and beginning of overtime doomed the Bears to a heartbreaking 13-10 loss.

After a Demaryius Thomas TD on a pass from Tim Tebow with 2:08 remaining cut the score to 10-7, the Bears knew that they had a chance to run the clock way down. Following the recovery of the onside click, Chicago gave the ball to Barber with that intent. However, the Bears RB made a crucial mistake on second down, when he went out of bounds in an attempt to gain more yards. With the clock stopped, the Broncos were able to get the ball back and drive down the field for the tying field goal. While it wasn't easy, Matt Prater nailed a 58-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.

Despite struggling throughout the game, Caleb Hanie delivered on the overtime drive. He led the Bears into Denver territory and seemed to have Chicago on its way to a game-winning field goal. Instead, Barber committed his second mistake late in the game, as he was stripped on a run that had the potential to be a TD. The fumble from Barber was recovered by the Broncos, who drove down the field and kicked a 51-yard field goal for the win.

The Bears, who now trail the Detroit Lions by a game in the NFC North, host Seattle next Sunday. Denver will look to continue its winning streak when it hosts New England on Sunday.

With all the big plays he has made returning punts in his career, it is always relatively surprising when opposing teams give Devin Hester the opportunity to return the ball. Hester once again made a huge impact on special teams, as he put together a dazzling 26-yard punt return to help setup the only TD of the game.

The Bears took advantage of the excellent field position following the Hester return by utilizing their rushing attack to find the end zone. Marion Barber accounted for 36 of the 42 yards on the TD drive, including a nine-yard TD run. Barber has rushed for 89 yards in the absence of Matt Forte.

The return from Hester wasn't the only big impact that Chicago received from its special teams unit. Robbie Gould delivered the longest field goal in Bears history when he connected from 57 yards out to give Chicago a 10-0 lead at the start of the fourth quarter.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears have completely shutdown the Denver offense. The normally dominant Broncos rushing attack has failed to generate any sort of consistent production, with Willis McGahee limited to just 33 yards on 15 carries. Tim Tebow has really struggled throwing the ball, completing just 3/16 for 45 yards and just his second interception of the season.

With Jay Cutler and Matt Forte both sidelined because of injury, the Chicago Bears knew it would take a dominant performance from their defense to come away with a victory in Denver. Through the first 30 minutes, the defense has been up to the challenge, as the game is tied 0-0 at the half.

The Bears defense has continued their excellent play against the run, limiting Willis McGahee to just 33 yards rushing in the opening half. Along with the stout play against the run, the defense has limited Tim Tebow from finding any sort of rhythm throwing the ball. Tebow has completed just 3/10 and threw only his second interception of the season. The Chicago special teams also played a key role in keeping the Broncos off the scoreboard, as they blocked a field goal attempt from Matt Prater in the second quarter.

On the offensive side of the ball, Chicago has struggled to move the ball down the field. Marion Barber had a productive opening half, rushing for 46 yards on nine carries. However, QB Caleb Hanie was hurt by numerous drops throughout the half, as he only threw for 37 yards

In a battle between two teams that depend on their defenses to win, it's unsurprising to see that the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos are tied 0-0 in the middle of the second quarter of Sunday's game. The Broncos have been far more effective on offense so far, with two drives into Chicago territory, but they haven't been able to capitalize.

The first productive Broncos drive ended when Charles Tillman picked off the Broncos' Tim Tebow at the Denver 24, just the quarterback's second interception of the season. And the team's next quality drive saw them get to Chicago's 11-yard line, but kicker Matt Prater's field goal attempt was blocked by Bears super defensive end Julius Peppers. It's been an impressive day for both defenses so far.

Denver has accumulated 99 yards of total offense so far, compared to just 40 by Chicago. Tebow is just 3-for-9 passing so far with an interception, but the three completions cover 45 yards and he's added another 22 yards rushing. Chicago has done a great job at stopping Broncos running back Willis McGahee, though, as he's gotten just 29 yards on his first 11 carries. And the Bears defense has come up with two absolutely huge plays to keep the game scoreless as the offense continues to sputter.

The Bears continue to really struggle as a team offensively. Caleb Hanie has completed three of his four pass attempts, but for just ten yards, and he's been sacked twice already as well. Marion Barber has nine carries for 46 yards, but the team's gotten -6 yards of passing offense today. And yes, that not a typo. The Bears passing game has lost yardage so far. Hopefully they can get some things going in the near future.

The Chicago Bears already looked like they were in sore need of some help when quarterback Jay Cutler went down, but things only got worse last week when the Bears played Kansas City. Starting running back Matt Forte and starting safety Major Wright both sustained injuries that have made them inactive for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. Michael C. Wright of ESPN Chicago has the full list of inactives for the game, which is shown below:

- QB Jay Cutler

- RB Matt Forte

- S Major Wright

- QB Nathan Enderle

- OG Ricky Henry

- TE Andre Smith

- DT Anthony Adams

The names to really focus on here are Cutler, Forte and Wright. The Bears' offense is a very tiny fraction of what it once was with Cutler and Forte leading the way, while the defense will surely miss the constantly-improving second-year safety Wright.

Receivers Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas have emerged as two of Tebow's preferred targets, and the Broncos depend on their running game to get the offense going anyways.

Earl Bennett was something of a revelation for the Chicago Bears when he returned from injury in Week 9, but his production has been down since Jay Cutler went out indefinitely. Well, okay, his production has been way down: Bennett has caught two passes for 10 yards in the two games started by Caleb Hanie. It's reasonable to think that the Bears will make an effort to get Bennett involved in the passing game as they attempt to rejuvenate their offense, and might that make for a surprisingly productive fantasy day in Week 14?

Well, according to numberFire.com, don't bet on it. Bennett is projected for 24 receiving yards in Week 14, which would be a marked improvement on his totals of the last two weeks, but still nothing worth starting for, obviously. It may be that, aside from Hanie's general shortcomings, Bennett and Cutler, old college teammates, have an unteachable chemistry that elevates the games of both.
