Multiple reports indicate that the Chicago Bears have signed defensive tackle (DT) Mick Williams. The New York Jets originally signed Williams out of Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent. But he is a Bear now. Scouting reports indicate Williams is somewhat smaller than the average DT, but he's an intense competitor who was ranked second in the Big East conference among defenders, with 15 tackles for loss.

Meanwhile, the Bears have waived DT Averell Spicer. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll be placed on the injured reserved list.
