The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are getting healthy at the right time.
With a month until the BCS Championship game against Alabama, Notre Dame has a fairly healthy roster, writes JJ Stankevitz of CSN Chicago.
The Fighting Irish expect to have all their players Friday at their first practice for the big game. The only player they'll be without is Heisman hopeful Manti Te'o, who is travelling across the country "from award banquets to ceremonies."
Tackle Zack Martin spent time in a walking boot, but will be ready. Defensive tackle Louis Nix has a wrist injury, but is also expected to practice Friday.
Wide receiver DaVaris Daniels should be ready for the title game, too, Stankevitz wrote. He's been out since breaking his collarbone against Boston College on Nov. 10.
In 10 games this season, Daniels has 25 catches for 375 yards.
No. 1 Notre Dame plays No. 2 Alabama in the BCS Championship on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.
