Notre Dame senior free safety Zeke Motta believes that playing in the BCS Championship Game is "the biggest reward" of his life, according to Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago.
And who can blame him for feeling that way? Few players get to have their last game be the most important in all the land. On top that, Motta also gets the luxury of it being in Miami, which is only two hours away from his hometown of Vero Beach.
The young man deserves it too, with all he's been through in his Notre Dame career. As Hayes points out, Motta has seen a bowl-less campaign, a tumultuous coaching change and even a bit of position flip-flopping between safety and linebacker.
Motta has persevered through it all though coming to work "each day ready to play" as he puts it, which earned him his first full-time role this season in a Fighting Irish defense that happens to be one of the best in school history.
Now, it's just a matter of if he'll be able to go out on top or not.
