Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o and tight end Tyler Eifert are both projected to be first round picks in the 2013 NFL Draft by ESPN's Mel Kiper. Kiper has Te'o ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the draft, and Eifert is at the top of his tight end rankings.
Te'o led the Irish with 103 tackles and seven interceptions during the regular season and finished second in the Heisman voting. Led by Te'o, Notre Dame finished first nationally in scoring defense, sixth in total defense and fourth in rushing defense.
Eifert's production dipped from 2011 to 2012, but he nonetheless won the Mackey Award, which is given to the nation's top tight end. He led the Irish in receptions with 44, receiving yardage with 624 and tied for the team-high with four touchdown receptions.
The Fighting Irish conclude their season in the BCS title game against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Jan. 7.
