Notre Dame's offensive line has arguably been its unsung hero as the Irish have streaked out to an undefeated start. The anchor of that line is junior Zack Martin, who has continued to set examples for his teammates with both his technique and work ethic.
"He makes sure everything he does is perfect," Irish center Braxston Cave said. "If he's not, he does it again. You watch him on film, and it's kind of the same thing over and over and over. He has his things down to an exact science, and he prides himself on that."

Martin graded out as the Irish's best lineman in both his freshman and sophomore seasons, and he has continued that this year. Notre Dame has allowed just 15 sacks as a team in nine games and has run for just over 200 yards per game.
It's possible that Martin will leave for the NFL after this season, but he isn't seen as a first-round lock. Martin's father, Keith, says that his son "really enjoys college football," while Martin says himself that he's just taking things game-by-game.
Martin will be hoping to continue powering Notre Dame to success this Saturday when the Irish visit the Boston College Eagles.
