The penultimate pre-bowl game BlogPoll has been released by SB Nation, and it's little surprise that Notre Dame is No. 1. Well, it's a surprise given the context of preconceived notions just a few weeks ago, but not a surprise given how the top of the BCS has been somewhat upended in recent weeks.
Either way, the latest BlogPoll has Notre Dame on top with 61 first-place votes, which is huge. The Alabama Crimson Tide are No. 2 with five first-place votes, and Oregon rounds out the top three, but with no first-place votes of their own. The Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators both had a first-place vote and occupied spots four and five, while the rest of the first-place votes go to the Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 6.
Also relevant for the region: the Northern Illinois Huskies, who jumped up to No. 19 on the list. Northwestern also comes in at No. 21. You can find the full BlogPoll here, and there's also an embed of it below.
