The Week 7 BlogPoll from SB Nation was released on Tuesday, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue to move up the rankings. They're in at No. 7 on the poll after moving to 5-0 on the season with a 41-3 win over Miami on Saturday. They moved up two spots from No. 9 and boast wins over two ranked teams in Michigan St. and Michigan in Weeks 3 and 4.
Also of particular note is the fact that the Irish received a single first-place vote, though that was something of a trend this time around. Seven different teams received first-place votes, with the Alabama Crimson Tide getting the lion's share at 64. South Carolina, Oregon, West Virginia, Florida and Kansas St. were the other teams to receiver first-place votes.
For the region, Northern Illinois fell off of the list, though it wasn't due to anything they did in particular. They're 5-1 with their only loss being the season opener, though they did receive votes for the poll. Northwestern also received votes, though they failed to move to 6-0 with a loss to Penn State in their last outing, which hurt their chances of entry to the list.
Below, we've got the full embed, and you can check out the poll at it's SB Nation page here.
