The Northwestern Wildcats are well on their way to a 5-0 start, as they have opened up a 20-0 halftime lead over the Indiana Hoosiers.
After a somewhat sluggish start, Northwestern's offense came to life, bolstered by the quarterback duo of Trevor Siemian and Kain Colter. Siemian has done plenty of damage through the air, completing 12-20 passes for 157 yards. Colter has actually been the recipient of six of those passes, compiling 90 yards receiving. He has also been prolific on the ground, rushing for 54 yards and two eight-yard scores.
For the half, the Wildcats racked up 316 total yards of offense, more than doubling the Hoosiers' output of 145. The powerful offensive attack has been almost perfectly balanced, with 157 yards passing and 159 yards rushing.
Besides Colter's two rushing touchdowns, Northwestern kicker Jeff Budzien has chipped in with two field goals. Budzien has not missed a kick all season.
