Boston College Vs. Northwestern Final Score: Wildcats Kick Five Field Goals, Win 22-13

The Northwestern Wildcats showed a worrying lack of ability to finish out drives on Saturday, as evidenced by their five field goals and one touchdown. Still, they managed to gut out the narrow win, overcoming the fact that Boston College managed to score a touchdown of their own. In the end, Northwestern walked out of there with a 3-0 record and a 22-13 win.

Northwestern's lone touchdown came with less-than two minutes remaining, when Mike Trumpy scampered for a 27-yard touchdown run to put the game out of reach for Boston College. The Eagles managed to score a touchdown when Chase Rettiq hit Johnathan Coleman for a 31-yard strike in the second quarter.

Jeff Budzien nailed two field goals in the first, two in the second and one in the third. His long on the day was 42 yards, and his other field goals went for 41, 29, 20 and 19 yards. Trumpy finished with 106 yards and a touchdown for Northwestern. Quarterback Kain Colter had an underwhelming, but efficient, day. He went 16-for-20, good for 144 yards and no touchdowns.Trevor Siemian took over at the end of the first and finished 16-of-20 for 123 yards.

Next, Northwestern will take on South Dakota on Saturday, while Boston College will have to contend with No. 11 Clemson.
