According to a report from ESPN Chicago, forward Jared Swopshire is transferring from Louisville to Northwestern.
Since Swopshire has already graduated from college, he will enroll as a graduate student at Northwestern and will be eligible to play immediately, which will be a big help for the Wildcats as they attempt to replace several forwards, including John Shurna and Davide Curletti.
Swopshire, a 6-foot-8 forward, averaged 3.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 13.3 minutes in 39 games this past season for Louisville. He started 20 games and averaged 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds as a sophomore, but missed the 2010-2011 season with a groin injury.
