Northwestern Vs. Iowa Preview: Wildcats Face Must-Win Vs. Hawkeyes

Northwestern will play Iowa on Saturday with their NCAA Tournament hopes on the line.

As of this exact moment, Northwestern Wildcats basketball just might be the most buzzworthy story in Chicago sports. As you may have heard, Northwestern is the only major conference school to never make the NCAA Tournament, and they find themselves squarely on the bubble this season at 17-12 overall, eighth in the Big 10. Tonight, the Wildcats travel to Iowa for the final regular season game of the season. It is a must-win in any definition of the term.

Iowa (16-14) will not be making the NCAA Tournament, but they have been playing very well lately. The Hawkeyes have won three of their last four games, including wins over No. 18 Indiana and No. 14 Wisconsin.

Game date/time: 1:30 PM, Saturday, March 3, 2012

Location: Iowa City, Iowa

TV: Big 10 Network

Radio: WGN (720 AM)
