The Northwestern Wildcats (12-8, 2-6 Big Ten) hope to climb out of the Big Ten basement as they square up against the Nebraska Cornhuskers (11-9, 3-6). Northwestern, having lost three consecutive games -- three consecutive conference games -- look for a bounce-back effort against a Cornhuskers team fighting to stay above .500.

The Thursday night match gets a national audience with ESPN2 broadcasting the contest. And with the nation watching, the Cornhuskers will need serious production from their top offensive weapon, senior G Bo Spencer, who leads the team with 14.9 points per game.

Northwestern, meanwhile, will look for continued excellence from senior F John Shurna (19 PPG, 5.9 rebounds per game) and junior G-F Drew Crawford (17.2 PPG, 4.8 RPG) against a Nebraska basketball team that has not had a winning streak since mid-December.
