National Signing Day was Wednesday, Nov. 14, and the Chicago area schools all did very well for themselves on the recruiting trail. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish landed the 14th rated recruiting class in the nation, buoyed by the signature of four star point guard Demetrius Jackson of Mishawaka, IN. Jackson is rated as the 30th best player in the nation by Rivals and should bring an immediate impact to the Irish's back court.
Northwestern also had a good class, bringing in consensus top 100 guard Jaren Sina. Sina is the highest rated recruit ever signed by Northwestern during the Bill Carmody era. They also secured the services of 6'7 Nate Taphorn ,a highly rated shooter from Pekin, IL.
DePaul even got into the action, signing four star point guard Billy Garrett, Jr. Garrett is the son of Blue Demons assistant Billy Garrett, Sr., and is considered to be one of the top point guard recruits in the country.
