The Northwestern Wildcats haven't played in a week, so they should be well-rested as they visit the No. 13 Michigan Wolverines on Wednesday night in a quality Big Ten match-up. Northwestern's last game came on Jan. 4, a 57-56 defeat against the Illinois Fighting Illini at home.
This game begins a rough three-game stretch for the Wildcats, as they visit the No. 13 Wolverines before hosting the No. 7 Michigan State Spartans at home. They finish off the run by visiting Wisconsin, a team that was ranked No. 11 in the nation just a couple of weeks ago before a three-game losing streak knocked it out of the top-25.
For a team that's lost three of its past four games, getting an upset against Michigan would be huge for Northwestern. Unfortunately, the Wolverines have recently been establishing themselves as a major player in the Big Ten. After a tough 73-71 loss to then-No. 12 Indiana last week, Michigan bounced back by beating then-No. 19 Wisconsin on Jan. 8 with a dominant effort.
