Well college football season is about to kickoff for teams all across the country. Throughout each week of the Big 10 season I will make my predictions for each Big 10 game that week. Here are my picks for this weeks games.
Thursday September 1, 2011 7:00 CST
Wisconsin 52 UNLV 7
The Badgers scoring spree of 2010 should continue in 2011. Wisconsin isn't really known to schedule high quality non-conference opponents and the trend will continue. They are virtually unbeatable at home so seem to be a lock in the opener.
Friday September 2, 2011 6:30 CST
Michigan State 35 Youngstown State 10
The Spartans will get off to a quick start against a lesser opponent.
Saturday September 3,2011
Ohio State 42 Akron 7
It'll be interesting to see how the Buckeyes look with a new coach and with some key players suspended. They still shouldn't be challenged against the Zips.
Penn State 49 Indiana State 14
Joe Pa and the Lions will get off to a fast start and all should be pleased in Happy Valley this week,
Purdue 31 Middle Tennessee 17
The Boilers will still be struggling this season but should prevail this week.
Boston College 24 Northwestern 20
With Dan Persa's status in doubt, Northwestern will fall in opener at BC.
Iowa 59 Tennessee Tech 10
The Hawkeyes will roll against their Division 1-AA opponent.
Illinois 45 Arkansas State 10
With the Illini no longer playing Missouri in their season opener, they should get off to a winning start for the first time in a long time.
Nebraska 52 Chattanooga 7
The newest member of the Big 10 won't be tested in their opener.
USC 35 Minnesota 10
Gophers are still rebuilding and opening at Southern Cal isn't easy.
Michigan 28 Western Michigan 14
Will this be the year the Wolverines finally turn things around?
Indiana 24 Ball State 20
Hoosiers are still expected to be towards the bottom of the Big 10. This could be one of the more entertaining BIG 10 games of the weekend.
Enjoy the games this weekend.
