Northwestern Vs. Nebraska Injury Report: Dan Persa Injures Shoulder

Northwestern QB Dan Persa has injured his left shoulder according to a tweet from Eric Olson, an AP writer covering Nebraska:

@Ericolson64: Just announced in press box that Northwestern QB Dan Persa has an injured left shoulder and his return is questionable.

Persa completed 9/14 attempts for 79 yards prior to the injury. Persa did throw an interception in the first half. RS Freshman QB Trevor Seimian replaced Persa and has been excellent so far. He helped lead Northwestern to a touchdown early in the third quarter that helped expand the Northwestern lead to 14-3.

The senior QB missed the first three games this season as he recovered from an Achilles injury that caused him to miss the end of last season. Since returning from injury, Persa has thrown for 9 TD's and 4 INT's.

Be sure to stay tuned to Sippin' on Purple, SB Nation's Northwestern blog, for the latest on the injury to Persa.
