Big 10 Update: Iowa Shocks Michigan For Upset Victory

Although it didn't appear to be a schedule loaded with exciting games, the parody within the Big 10 has been on full display this afternoon. After a stunning road loss to Minnesota last week, Iowa moved back into the race for the top spot in the Big 10- Legends Division with a thrilling 24-16 win over No. 15 Michigan.

This game came down to the final play, with the Wolverines late rally coming up just three yards short. After trailing 24-9 early in the fourth quarter, Michigan had four chances to pull within two points, including a potential touchdown catch by Junior Hemingway that went under review. However, the Hawkeyes defense held strong and helped Iowa emerge with a vital home win.

Iowa relied on a bruising performance from sophomore RB Marcus Coker to control the tempo of the game. Coker led the way with 132 yards on 29 attempts. He also found the endzone twice in the victory. Michigan was led by Denard Robinson, who threw for two TD's and added 55 yards rushing in the loss.
