Despite not having any teams contending for a spot in the BCS National Championship game, the Big 10 continues to be well-represented in the BCS Rankings.
In fitting fashion, the two highest ranked teams will meet up next weekend in the inaugural Big 10 Championship game. No. 13 Michigan St. enters the conference championship game against No. 15 Wisconsin on a four-game winning streak, while the Badgers have also won four straight.
Surprisingly, No. 16 Michigan fell in the latest rankings, despite a 40-34 victory over Ohio St. With their large and passionate fanbase, the Wolverines would have a very good chance of being invited to a BCS bowl game if they can move into the Top 14.
No. 19 Nebraska bounced back from a disappointing loss to Michigan last week with an impressive 20-7 victory over Iowa. The last Big 10 team to earn a spot in the rankings is Penn St. The Nittany Lions check in at No. 21 despite a 45-7 loss to Wisconsin on Saturday.
