Northwestern Vs. Minnesota Score Update: Wildcats Up 21-7 After First Quarter

The Northwestern Wildcats' offense is once again producing at a high level, as the Wildcats lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers 21-7 after one quarter of play. Northwestern QB Dan Persa has been on fire during the early action, going 8/9 for 72-yards to go with two touchdown passes. The most recent touchdown drive came on a 2-yard tun by Treyvon Green with 2:29 remaining in the first quarter, and the Wildcats have scored touchdowns on all three drives thus far. The biggest spark for the Wildcats has been provided via special teams, with kick returner Venric Mark breaking off two long returns to set up the offense with great field position.

Minnesota's offense has not been particularly good this season, to they may struggle to keep pace with the high-octane Wildcat offense throughout the game.
