Northwestern Vs. Minnesota Score Update: Another Shootout Brewing As Wildcats Lead 14-7 Early

After the Northwestern Wildcats took the opening drive in for a quick touchdown, the Minnesota Golden Gophers responded with a seven-play, 66-yard touchdown drive of their own, culminating in a 5-yard rush by Marqueis Gray. Both teams got their first scores fairly quickly, as the Wildcats took only 1:26 for their touchdown, and the Golden Gophers responded in 2:25.

When the Wildcats got the ball back with the score tied 7-7, Venric Mark once again produced a long kickoff return to give the Wildcats great field position, this time with a 55-yard return. With that prime field position, Dan Persa quickly marched the offense down the field again on an eight-play, 43-yard touchdown drive, capped off by a 28-yard TD from Persa to Demetrius Fields. If you like offense, it might be a good time to tune in.
