Northwestern Wildcats Vs. LSU Tigers Score Update: Wildcats Rally In 2nd Half, Win 88-82

The Northwestern Wildcats scored 56 points in the second half against Louisiana State on Thursday afternoon and rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat the Tigers, 88-82. Northwestern was effective from beyond the arc, which is always a key for the Wildcats offense, and John Shurna did a little bit of everything for his team en route to 37 points. Unofficially, Shurna was 13-14 at the free throw line, 4-9 from beyond the arc, and 10-21 from the field overall.

Johnny O'Bryant led LSU with 21 points on 6-8 shooting. The Tigers had good success scoring inside the three-point line, but managed to hit just six of 21 three-point attempts on the afternoon.

With the win, Northwestern advanced to the semifinal round of the Charleston Classic. The Wildcats will play Tulsa on Friday, Nov. 18 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
