In a matchup between two teams that have struggled to find consistency on the offensive end of the field, Northwestern has jumped out to a 38-21 halftime lead over Indiana in a game that hasn't lacked offensive fireworks. Northwestern QB Dan Persa has been outstanding over the first 30 minutes, throwing for 230 yards and three TD's on only 15 attempts. Drake Dunsmore has been a tough matchup for the Hoosiers, as the senior has six receptions for 105 yards and three TD's in the first half. Backup QB Kain Colter even made an impact in his brief appearance, throwing a touchdown pass on his only attempt of the game.
While the defense hasn't been able to generate many stops, dual-threat freshman QB Tre Roberson has been dynamic for the Hoosiers. Roberson has accounted for 188 yards of offense, with 116 coming through the air and 72 coming on the ground. However, the Indiana defense needs to slow down Persa and the Northwestern offense if the Hoosiers are going to be able to rally in this game.
