Your Sports TV Schedule, 1/26: Big Ten Basketball

The Blackhawks are off through the NHL All-Star break and won't play again until next Tuesday. The Bulls are on a well-deserved hiatus until Friday. The Bears... well, maybe we shouldn't talk about that. So what to do for the suddenly-quiet Chicago sports TV scene? There's plenty of college basketball to fill your plate tonight.

5:30 p.m., Big Ten Network: College basketball, Iowa at Penn State.

6:30 p.m., ESPN: College basketball, No. 8 Texas at Oklahoma State.

7 p.m., Comcast 100: AHL, Wolves at Barons. Like the Blackhawks, the Wolves are far down in the standings, but not very many points from the top of their division.

7:30 p.m., Big Ten Network: College basketball, Northwestern at No. 18 Minnesota. The Wildcats have played pretty well this year, but have struggled against ranked teams. This is another chance for them to make the statement that they can hang with the big guys.

8:30 p.m., ESPN: NBA, Spurs at Jazz. In case you prefer the pro game.

9 p.m., CBS College Sports: No. 4 San Diego State at No. 9 BYU. This is another chance for a ranked team to bring down an unbeaten -- SDSU is one of only two remaining undefeated teams in major college basketball.
