The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 2-0 for the first time since 2008, but snaring win No. 3 will be considerably hard than the first two. The Irish will visit the No. 10 Michigan State Spartans in primetime on Saturday night in a matchup that will be a clear measuring stick for Notre Dame early in the season.

The Irish are coming off of a 20-17 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers, which itself came on the heels of a 50-to-10 drubbing of the Navy Midshipmen in the opening week. The Spartans, on the other hand, defeated the Boise State Broncos at home to open the season before feasting on the Central Michigan Chippewas last weekend.

The Irish will be focusing on stopping running back Le'Veon Bell, who has 280 yards so far on the season. If they're able to do that, junior Andrew Maxwell may help keep Notre Dame in the game.

Game time, TV channel: 7 p.m. CT, ABC

Point spread: Michigan State favored by 4 points
