The Penn State Nittany Lions (2-2) travel this week to Illinois (2-2) in a game with implications to both teams who have gotten off to a slow start in 2012. The Lions are looking to post their third win in a row, while Illinois are looking to shrug off last week's loss to Louisiana Tech.
The last time Penn State started this poorly was 2006, where the Lions also started 2-2, but with losses to illustrious squads like Notre Dame (then #4) and Ohio State (#1). Now they're looking to put their piece together a season as best they can, and move past the scandal that mired their program.
Leading into Saturday's match-up the Illini are ranked 78th in the nation in scoring, averaging 26.5 points per game. Sophomore QB Reilly O'Toole has been impressive for Illinois this season, completing almost 80-percent of his passes to go along with his six touchdowns.
Time, Location: Saturday 9/29, Memorial Stadium-Champaign, IL
TV: ESPN
Spread: Penn State are favored by four points.
