Jabari Parker of Simeon High School in Chicago is the nation's consensus No. 1 basketball recruit for the class of 2013, and on Wednesday he released a list of 10 schools that he is considering, via Twitter. The list included plenty of top programs like Kentucky, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, Georgetown and North Carolina, but in a bit of a surprise BYU and DePaul also made the top-10 list. The most notable omission from the list was Illinois, which is a program in flux after the messy departure of Bruce Weber last season.
UK, Stanford, michigan state, Kansas, Florida, Duke, BYU, Georgetown, Depaul, UNC. No order.
