Jabari Parker Recruiting: Nation's Top Prep Player Plans To Decide In November

The nation's consensus top player for the class of 2013, Simeon's Jabari Parker, plans to announce where he'll be playing college basketball in November, as Adam Zogoria reports. Parker says that he wants to avoid having the decision affect him during his senior year of high school at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago.

Arguably the most hyped high school player since LeBron James, Parker was recently on a cover of Sports Illustrated that said as much. He hasn't even finished high school, though, and he doesn't want to finish it surrounded by a recruiting frenzy:

I’m on a setback not making as much progress as I should be [cutting his list] but I’m looking to make my choice in November. I want to do it for me because I want to get it over with before the season starts.

As Zogoria notes, Parker has 14 teams on his list currently: BYU, UConn, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio State and Washington, plus the home state schools, Illinois, DePaul and Northwestern.
