Illinois' luck does not appear as though it is about to change, as the Ohio State Buckeyes got off to a blistering start from the field and take a 42-26 lead into the break.

Ohio State jumped out to a 19-4 lead, and although the Illini have been competitive since then, they haven't been good enough to make a dent in the margin. The Buckeyes shot nearly 70% from the field in the half, including 5-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Deshaun Thomas leads OSU with 11 points, and Aaron Craft has eight.
Illinois, on the other hand, shot just 26.7%. Meyers Leonard has 14 points and Brandon Paul has seven.
