NCAA Basketball Rankings: Ohio State Continues To Tumble, Michigan Rising Fast

The latest college basketball rankings have the Ohio St. Buckeyes continuing their rather precipitous slide while the Michigan Wolverines begin to surge back toward the top.

The Buckeyes, fresh off of losses to the Michigan St. Spartans and the Wolverines, have fallen another three slots in the AP Poll, from No. 6 last week to No. 9, and two slots in the Coaches Poll, from No. 6 to No. 8. Ohio State had been ranked No. 2 in both polls for several weeks, but the recent losses have them trailing the Spartans in even their own conference as they are tied at second place with the Michigan Wolverines' 10-4 Big Ten record.

The Wolverines, meanwhile, jumped six spots in both polls, putting them at No. 18 in the Coaches Poll and No. 11 in the AP Poll. Michigan has struggled in the recent weeks, but their three-game winning streak, culminating in their 56-51 win over the Buckeyes, has them suddenly as one of the nation's fastest risers.
