Illinois Vs. Nebraska Score Update: Fighting Illini Blown Out By Nebraska

If there was any hope that Illinois might rally around beleaguered head coach Bruce Weber, that notion was quickly with an abysmal performance in the 80-57 loss to Nebraska. The game was decided when Nebraska went on a 36-4 run to help build a comfortable lead.

Only two players scored in double-figures for the Fighting Illini, who shot just 39.6% from the field as a team. D.J. Richardson led the way with a team-high 15 points and five rebounds, while Tracy Abrams added 11 points and three assists in the loss.

Illinois found no answer for Nebraska guard Bo Spencer. The senior guard hit 9/11 from the field, including 5/7 from behind the arc, as he scored a game-high 27 points in the win. Caleb Walker scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, while Brandon Richardson scored 12 points and dished out a team-high six assists for Nebraska.
