The opening weekend of Big Ten competition saw both Illinois and Wisconsin suffer losses as the Illini fell to Penn State 35-7, while the Badgers lost to No. 22 Nebraska, 30-27 in Lincoln. Now both teams look to get their seasons back on the rails, with Wisconsin coming into Saturday's game as the favorites.

After being benched against Louisiana Tech, Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase was looking to make a statement in his comeback game against the Nittany Lions, shaking off injury. The result wasn't what he had hoped for as Scheelhaase completed just over 60 percent of his passes and threw two interceptions. It remains to be seen whether Illinois will elect to start Reilly O'Toole, but regardless of which quarterback gets the nod, it will be tough to deal with a Wisconsin defense ranked 35th in the nation in points allowed.

For Wisconsin, it's all about Montee Ball, and ensuring he can get back to form against the conference opponents. Last week the Cornhuskers held Ball to just 90 yards on 32 carries, or just 2.8 yard per carry. This is a back who routinely runs for over six yards per, and while he's off his pace in 2012, it will be all about getting him going. Penn State running backs had great success against the Illini last week, and Wisconsin should do the same.
