NCAA Basketball Rankings: Illlini Falling Fast In Coaches Poll

The Illinois Fighting Illini, fresh off a pair of Big Ten Conference losses, have dropped to nearly inconsequential levels in the latest USAToday Coaches Poll.

USAToday.com has released the latest rendition of the college basketball Coaches Poll with some bad, though expected, news for fans of the Illinois Fighting Illini (15-5, 4-3).

After losing their last two games -- 52-54 to the Penn St. Nittany Lions and 63-67 to the Wisconsin Badgers -- the Illini have fallen once again off the Top 25 board entirely. The Illinois basketball team has been back and forth this season, falling out of the Top 25 in late December after surprisingly cracking the Top 20 earlier that month.

The latest rankings now have the Illini sitting near the bottom with just 6 points -- three time the points they had in the preseason rankings, but still one of their lowest totals of the season.
