Crandall Head, former Illini Shooting guard and brother of former Illinois star Luther Head, has announced he will be heading to DePaul. Head left the University of Illinois in December after two seasons and limited playing time. The former highly touted recruit told ESPN Chicago that his reason for leaving was because his game didn't fit the Illini's style, but will fit with the Blue Demons.
↵"It's an up-tempo game," Head said. "They run the floor, get easy points in transition. I like their style of play. I like the coaches. I like the players. I know a couple of the players over there. I like that environment and being close to home."
↵Head will join the Blue Demons in the fall and will have two years of eligibility remaining. This Spring he plans on taking classes at a still undecided junior college, but will not play basketball.
