The Illinois Fighting Illini (11-2), fresh off their 74-78 loss to the No. 8 Missouri Tigers (12-0), find themselves falling once again down the standings of the USAToday / Coaches Poll. The Illini, last week ranked No. 24, join the Xavier Musketeers as one of the two teams to drop from the Top 25 of the Coaches Poll this week.

The Illini initially began to waver in their Top 25 ranking following a surprise loss to the UNLV Runnin' Rebels (13-2, no ranked No. 20) in mid December. On the heals of last Thursday's defeat, the Illini have now slipped to 27th most points with 36 (ahead of Xavier with 27).

Here is a look at the current Top10 in the nation, mostly unchanged since last week:

Rank Coaches Poll
1 Syracuse
2 Ohio St.
3 Kentucky
4 Louisville
5 Duke
6 North Carolina
7 Baylor
8 Missouri
9 Connecticut
10 Florida
