The Illinois offense continues to lack the ability to sustain drives, as the Fighting Illini trail Michigan 14-0 at the half. The Wolverines had no issues moving the ball down the field, gaining 249 yards in the first half, while Illinois was limited to only 30 total yards.
The explosive Denard Robinson scored two rushing TD's for the Wolverines in the opening half and was solid throwing the ball, completing 6/9. Sophomore RB Fitzgerald Toussaint was a force rushing the ball for the Wolverines, as he ran for 134 yards on 18 carries.
Illinois struggled to find any momentum on offense, as Justin DuVernois has been already been forced to punt six times. The running game has been particularly poor, with senior RB Jason Ford leading the way with only 12 yards on four carries.
