Illinois Vs. Michigan Score Update: Wolverines Dominate Opening Quarter

Despite being dominated in nearly every statistical category over the opening 15 minutes, Illinois "only" trails No. 24 Michigan 7-0 after the opening quarter. The lone score of the game came from Denard Robinson, as he ran in from nine yards out to give the Wolverines the lead.

Michigan RB Fitzgerald Toussaint was unstoppable in the opening quarter, rushing for 131 yards on 11 carries. The versatile Denard Robinson added 23 yards rushing and a TD. The Wolverines gained 182 total yards, while Illinois was limited to just 13 yards. The Illinois defense did force a key fumble late in the first quarter, which prevented Michigan from extending its league.
