Women's NCAA Championship, Notre Dame Vs. Baylor Final Score: Irish Fall To Baylor 80-61

For the second season in a row, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have lost in the championship game of the Women's NCAA Tournament. On Tuesday night in Denver, Notre Dame was downed 80-61 as the Baylor Lady Bears completed their remarkable 40-0 season.

The Baylor victory was keyed by another massive effort from Brittney Griner, who ended the night with 26 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks on 11-of-16 shooting from the field. Teammates Odyssey Sims and Destiny Williams each added eight points. Brooklyn Pope finished with six points and four rebounds off the bench in the win.

Skylar Diggins powered Notre Dame in the loss, finishing with 20 points and three assists on 7-of-17 shooting. Kayla McBride added 11 points for the Irish.
