St. Bonaventure Vs. Notre Dame Final Score: Fighting Irish Cruise Past Bonnies, 79-35

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish showed no mercy on the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in the Sweet 16 match-up on Sunday, beating them in convincing fashion, 79-35.

St. Bonaventure never could develop a rhythm offensively and scored its 35 points on just nine field goals out of 48 attempts to shoot 18.8 percent from the field. Had it not been for the Bonnies going 16-of-22 from the free throw line, this one could have been even more of a laugher.

Notre Dame played just fine. The Irish shot 52.5 percent from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line for the game. While Notre Dame did commit 16 turnovers, it wasn't nearly as detrimental as the 23 turnovers committed by St. Bonaventure in the losing effort.

For the Irish, Natalie Novosel led the way with 16 points while Kalia Turner put in 14 points and Kayla McBride added 10. The Irish are moving on to play Maryland in the Elite Eight.
