Louisville Vs. DePaul Preview: Blue Demons Seek Big East Upset

The Big East schedule hasn't been kind to the DePaul Blue Demons thus far this season, but that doesn't mean that an upset against the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals on Saturday wouldn't help things a little bit.

The Big East schedule hasn't been kind to the DePaul Blue Demons thus far this season, but that doesn't mean that an upset against the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals on Saturday wouldn't help things a little bit. DePaul began the season with nine wins in 12 games, but they've won just twice in 13 games since beginning the Big East conference schedule.

A victory against Louisville would qualify as a major upset at this point, even after the Cardinals fell short of upsetting No. 2 Syracuse on Feb. 13. Only twice this season has Louisville lost a game to a ranked opponent, and one of those games was a double-overtime loss to now-ranked Notre Dame.

DePaul just hasn't found its footing in the conference schedule, with some unfortunate results. The Blue Demons have lost 10 of their past 11 games, with a 69-64 victory over Rutgers sandwiching two different five-game losing streaks. A win against Louisville would end the second losing streak, but it would also signify DePaul's most impressive win of the season by far.
