DePaul Vs. Rutgers Final Score: Blue Demons Pick Up Another Big East Win

Conference victories have become an increasingly rare treat for the DePaul Blue Demons in recent years, but Oliver Purnell's team picked up their second Big East win of the season on Wednesday with a 69-64 win over Rutgers. DePaul trailed by five at the half, but a huge second half fueled by freshman Jamee Crockett propelled DePaul to victory. DePaul improves to 11-9 (2-6 Big East) with the win, while Rutgers falls to 11-10 (3-5).

Crockett came off the bench to score 20 points and grab seven rebounds on 6-of-8 shooting. He freshman from Crete-Monee hit 5-of-7 three-pointers. DePaul is typically led by Cleveland Melvin and Brandon Young, and each did well in the win. Melvin scored 14 and Young finished with 11 points and seven assists.

Guard Myles Mack scored 22 for Rutgers off the bench. Teammate Jerome Seagears added 14 points for the Scarlett Knights.
