The DePaul Blue Demons have really struggled through their first seven games against Big East conference opponents, but they hope to stem that tide when they visit the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Wednesday night. DePaul has lost five consecutive games to teams from the conference, with the team posting just one win so far in 2012.
When the Big East conference schedule began for DePaul, the Blue Demons were in the midst of a five-game winning streak. They proceeded to lose their Big East schedule opener against then-No. 1 Syracuse before knocking off Pittsburgh, but they haven't won any of the five games they've played since that victory on Jan. 5.
Rutgers hasn't had much more success than DePaul this season, though. The Scarlet Knights' 11-9 overall record isn't much better than the Blue Demons' 10-9 record, although their 3-4 conference record is much stronger than DePaul's.
