South Florida Vs. DePaul Score Update: Blue Demons Trail 37-29 At Halftime

The DePaul Blue Demons are looking for just their second victory of the season against a Big East opponent, but they aren't off to a great start trailing 37-29 going into halftime against the South Florida Bulls. The game was extremely close for the majority of the half, but the Bulls finished the half with a 12-5 run to extend their lead to eight points.

It was a pretty weak offensive effort from DePaul in the first half, making just 37 percent of its shots from the field. The Blue Demons have missed six consecutive shots from three-point range after Worrel Clahar made one to kick off the afternoon's scoring. South Florida was much better from the field and on the boards, making 46 percent of its shots.

Krys Faber leads DePaul with six points so far. Clahar and Cleveland Melvin have also added five points apiece. Brandon Young, DePaul's second-leading scorer behind Melvin this season, has missed all four of his field goal attempts en route to just two points. Jawanza Poland came off the bench to lead South Florida with 12 points.
