Ole Miss Vs. DePaul Score Update: Blue Demons Trail 42-28 At Halftime

The DePaul Blue Demons are hosting the Ole Miss Rebels at Allstate Arena as they hope to win for the third consecutive time.

The DePaul Blue Demons are hosting the Ole Miss Rebels as they hope to win for the third time in a row, but they're trailing 42-28 at halftime on Tuesday night. The game was close for most of the first half, with a Krys Faber jumper cutting the Rebels' lead to 25-23 at one point. But the Rebels closed out the half on a 17-5 run, and have a sizable lead now going into the second half.

Ole Miss was led in the first half by an impressive performance from forward Murphy Holloway. The junior scored 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting while adding seven rebounds, two steals and an assist, as well. The Rebels shot 61 percent from the field, making up for a brutal 3-for-12 performance from the free throw line.

It's been an abysmal shooting performance by DePaul so far. The Blue Demons are just 7-for-29 (24 percent) from the field so far, but they've taken advantages of their opportunity at the charity stripe by going 12-for-14 there. They're going to need to shoot much better in the second half if they want any chance of making a comeback, though.
