White Sox Vs. Royals Final Score: Chicago Shut Out by Bruce Chen, Royals

The Chicago White Sox were unable to score a run despite recording nine hits, losing to Kansas City 3-0 Wednesday night. The Royals scored a run in the third inning on a Billy Butler sacrifice fly and added two more on an Alex Gordon double in the seventh inning.

The loss overshadowed a stellar performance from White Sox leadoff man Alejandro de Aza, who was 4-for-5 on the night with a double and a triple. Alex Rios added three hits. Chicago starter Chris Sale took the loss, giving up all three of Kansas City's runs in 6 2/3 innings pitched.

Royals starter Bruce Chen was credited with the win after scattering 5 hits over 6 2/3 innings. Greg Holland recorded his 18th save of the season.

The loss breaks a five-game White Sox winning streak. The two teams are scheduled to face off in the final game of their three-game series Thursday night.
