The White Sox claimed bragging rights of the weekend series against the Angels with a 4-2 victory in Chicago on Sunday. This one went scoreless through four innings until Angels rookie sensation Mike Trout hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give LA a 1-0 lead.
Kevin Youkilis tied the game with a solo home run to left field in the bottom half of the sixth inning. Then, with Francisco Liriano already done for the day and Nate Jones on the hill for the Sox, Torii Hunter gave the Angels their second one-run lead of the game with an RBI single.
That's when A.J. Pierzynski came up big in the seventh with a two-run shot, and Alexei Ramirez hit an RBI triple in the eighth as the explanation point for Chicago.
Jones got the win, pushing his record to 4-0 for the season. Liriano gave up one earned run, four hits and struck out four in five innings of work.
