White Sox Vs. Orioles Starting Lineups: Chicago Lefty Chris Sale Aiming For 16th Victory

Looking to get back on track after dropping Monday's opener, the Chicago White Sox will send out Cy Young candidate Chris Sale on Tuesday night for Game 2 against the Baltimore Orioles.

The 6'6" Sale has amassed a 15-4 record and 2.65 earned-run average over 22 starts with Chicago this season, and is firmly in contention for honors as the league's top pitcher despite being only 23 years old. Sale's win total currently places him in a tie for second in the American League, and his ranks in ERA (4th), WHIP (3rd) and strikeouts (8th) are each nothing to scoff at either.

Sale will face off against a swing-happy Baltimore team that sits a mere one game behind the White Sox in the AL standings, in a meeting where Chris Tillman is expected to take the mound for the Orioles. Along with a stellar 6-2 mark since joining the rotation on July 4, Tillman has shown an improved propensity to miss bats during his fourth MLB season.
